On the fifth deck are the Reception and the Seashore Bar, the hub of life on board, which always animate the atrium with music and guests’ strolls. Here the Image Gallery continues up to a beautiful staircase with glass decorations that connects to the bridge above. Rubén Rodríguez, president of MSC Cruises, said the Seaside-class ship is specifically designed for Caribbean cruising. From Miami, MSC Seascape will offer guests the choice of two different itineraries. The first, a seven-night voyage from Miami, sails the eastern Caribbean with stops in Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve and Nassau in The Bahamas, San Juan in Puerto Rico, and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. The vessel will then spend several days in New York City, with the naming ceremony on December 7 at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal.

A mouthwatering menu of sophisticated fish dishes and other recipes, made with the freshest ingredients and complemented by a wonderful wine list; these are the magic ingredients of the luxury fish restaurant. The Sky Bar is one of the novelties obtained from the transformation of the stern, a sea view corner not to be missed at any time of day or evening. Always nice, then, to walk on the Bridge of Sights or move with the panoramic elevators. Deck 6 opens with the Madison Theatre at the bow and is characterized by the pleasant Times Square area, decorated with LED panels reproducing the famous New York space, a series of stores and the nearby Venchi Chocolate Bar. The Shine Bar, overlooking the Atrium, is instead a stable reference point of the Seaside class, always elegant and welcoming.

Yet MSC Seascape is slightly larger; the 170,000-gross-ton vessel can accommodate 5,877 passengers, about 145 more than MSC Seashore. The family-owned company also runs the largest container shipping line in the world. The new ship launched in the spring, enticing travelers with a two-story sundeck, expanded rooftop garden and French chef Daniel Boulud's first restaurant at sea. The Jungle Pool, located near the buffet on deck 16, will feature a magrodome that can be closed to create an indoor pool area.

“We did it about five years ago with some friends and it’s just a phenomenal cruise,” Leo said. Or perhaps it's just a taste of what's to come in their opening-round Sunshine State series. The defending champion Lightning take a 1-0 lead into Game 2 Tuesday night in Sunrise, Florida. The intrastate foes — they've never really been rivals — have met 142 times in the regular season, including eight games this season. But they'd never faced off in the playoffs until Sunday, when the Lightning won a physical, dramatic thriller, 5-4.

The Seaside class is a class of four cruise ships owned and operated by MSC Cruises. The lead ship of the class, MSC Seaside, entered service in the Caribbean Sea in December 2017.[1] A fourth cruise ship, the MSC Seascape was christened in New York on December 7, 2022. On Deck 18, the main pool – Long Island Pool – has two different depths so guests can choose to swim or stand in the water. The newly designed area includes a 360° water fountain island in the centre as well as a new lounge space within the pool.

This week, Celebrity and other lines loosened their COVID protocols, no longer requiring vaccinated passengers to test before most cruises and allowing unvaccinated passengers, who must test before boarding. The Institute provides businesses with scientific support to develop innovative technological solutions for the control of virus infections, which is particularly relevant today given the current global pandemic. MSC Cruises has retained the consortium of electrical propulsion system providers it assembled for its Seaside class for its Seaside EVO vessels. To mark the occasion, a special ceremony was held onboard, during which Canaveral Port Authority Chairman Kevin Markey and CEO Captain John Murray presented Captain Stefano Aiello with welcoming plaque. MSC Cruises Names First Seaside Evo Ship MSC Seashore As First Steel Is Cut At Fincantieri Shipyard

MSC Seascape is the latest evolution of the line's Seaside-class ships MSC Seaside and MSC Seaview that first debuted in 2017. In 2021, MSC Cruises revamped its Seaside class of ships with the launch of MSC Seashore, the first of what MSC calls its "EVO-class" vessels. As the name suggests, EVO represented an evolution for the line over the previous Seaside-class, with redesigned public spaces, better passenger-to-space ratios, and newer, more environmentally-friendly systems onboard.

Disney Cruise Lines added its fifth and largest ship, Disney Wish, to the fleet this summer and the biggest ship in the world, Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas began sailing in March. As such, the design features, public areas and venue names are inspired by the metropolitan US city. Extending through at least October 2025, the program features three-, four- and seven-night itineraries to popular ports in both regions, including Cozumel and Costa Maya, in Mexico, and Nassau, in the Bahamas. Discover a world of frozen delights, cocktails, beers and soft drinks at the main poolside ice cream bar. This bar is an ideal spot to stop by to listen to live music and enjoy a drink from the extensive bar menu.

The Seaside EVO subclass has 65 percent of MSC Seascape’s public spaces wholly reimagined from the original Seaside class design. The newest Seaside-class cruise ship, MSC Seascape, has reached the final phases of construction as she arrived back from sea trials at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. MSC Seascape completed the first system tests during a multi-day trial from August 17-20. MSC Cruises has announced that an agreement has been made to order two Seaside EVO class cruise ships.

They will include 20 sea-facing seats so guests can relax while enjoying beautiful sea views. For example, the color scheme of MSC Seascape's Chora Theatre is red and grey as opposed to MSC Seashore's black and grey, but the style of the decoration remains unchanged. Similarly, all the decks on MSC Seascape are named after famous islands like Bali, Gozo, Mykonos, Maui or Cozumel. The Seaside EVO class ships will bring the very latest environmental design technology and will expand on features and elements already seen on MSC Seaside which has just been delivered by Fincantieri. MSC Seashore’s design features, public areas and venue names are inspired by the New York City.

Seascape is MSC’s fourth Seaside-class ship, and second in the Seaside EVO subclass built by Fincantieri in Italy. MSC Cruises announced it will bring its third ship to its home port at Port Canaveral, starting in April 2023. The second itinerary, also seven nights in length, will sail the Western Caribbean and Bahamas, with stops at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Cozumel in Mexico, George Town in the Cayman Islands, and Ocho Rios in Jamaica. On Seashore, the entrance concierge area for the MSC Yacht Club is even more impressive and glamorous, with a three-deck tall back-lit Onyx wall and MSC’s signature Swarovski staircases.

Included in this added power is an extra 2 MW for propulsion of the 169,400-gt, 5,632-passenger vessel, to be provided through two slow-speed, synchronous motors driving twin shaftlines. The 21-MW motors will be supplied by GE Marine, which is leading the consortium to design and specify electric propulsion technology for the new ships. On the same day, the 4,650-guest vessel set sail on four-night cruise to the Bahamas that featured visits to both Nassau and Ocean Cay, in addition to a full day at sea. The coin ceremony marked the keel laying of the future vessel at the Fincantieri shipyard on Monfalcone, Italy. Two coins were placed within the ship’s keel as a historical sign of blessing and good fortune for constructing the ship and her future life at sea.

The outdoor features of the ship will include a glass-floored Bridge of Sighs on deck 16 at a height of 72ft above the Infinity Pool on deck eight. Panoramic aft elevators and glass-floor catwalks will be available on both sides of the ship on the waterfront promenade. Another pillar is elevated sanitation and cleaning measures, and Mr Matola emphasised, “ventilation is key, we have 100% fresh air through our HVAC system.” There will also be responsible social distancing. “We will reduce capacity on the ships, with more than 10 m2 per person in public spaces and simplify the experience for guests,” said Mr Matola. Other pillars include enhanced medical facilities, and that guests only go ashore as part of an MSC shore excursion.

And speaking of crowds, one particularly useful perk is that scanning your Yacht Club key card when calling for an elevator anywhere on the ship will give you an express ride bypassing any other deck on the way to your destination.

“The Seaside class of ships is specially designed for Caribbean cruising, with features like pools, dining and outdoor decks located lower and close to the sea,” Rodríguez said. The aft pool has been redesigned to create an Infinity Pool, which now extends right up to the end of the ship with a glass wall offering uninterrupted views of the ocean. It will be one of the largest infinity pools at sea, offering different depths as well as sunbeds sunken into the water. The MSC Seashore cruise ship will have a total of six pools, of which the Infinity Pool will be one of the largest infinity pools at sea and stretches to the edge of the aft.
